Garrett Wang <span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>  Garrett Wang (b. December 15, 1968) is an American actor born in Riverside, Californiato Chinese parents. He is best known for his portrayal of Ensign Harry Kim on the series Star Trek: Voyager. He moved several times during his childhood to Indiana, Bermuda and finally to Tennessee where he graduated from Harding Academy High School in Memphis. He went on to attend UCLA where he majored in Asian studies. A theater professor encouraged him to pursue acting and he took the advice and appeared on stage at the Burbage theater in Chay Yew's Porcelain. His first TV role was an episode of the Margaret Cho comedy All-American Girl. Genre roles include Demon Island and voice roles in the video games Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force and Star Trek: Of Gods and Men (2006). External Links
