Humorous take on the Furlings as seen in "
200"
Furlings are a mysterious race on the series Stargate SG-1 who once participated in an exchange of knowledge with the Ancients along with The Asgard and The Nox. The Furlings disappeared long before SG-1 began exploring other planets and only small remnants of their advanced technology remains. In the episode Paradise Lost, colonel Jack O'Neill and Harry Maybourne are transported to a moon intended to be a paradise. The transportation device was believed to be Furling in origin. The moon turned out to be nothing but a long gone and desolate colony whose inhabitants were all dead, possibly as a result of an edible plant on the planet that causes a person to become increasingly paranoid.
In the online game "StarGateWars" the Furlings are portrayed as a humanoid race that learned the ways of nature and became shapeshifters. The Furlings were capable of transforming into various animals. It also states that a ship which was visiting ancient earth was stranded and frozen beneath ice. When earth civilization began the frozen furlings were revived and entered human society, thus giving birth to the legend of werewolves.
