Freddy Krueger (full name, Frederick Charles Krueger) is a character created by Wes Craven for the A Nightmare on Elm Street dark fantasy horror series of movies. He has been played by actor Robert Englund in each of the six films of the series.

He is known for a face covered with burn scars and wears a horizontally striped red-and-green sweater, a fedora hat and a leather glove with long, curved knives affixed to the finger tips.
