Frank Miller (b. January 27, 1957) is an American writer, artist, and director noted for his work in comics. Miller was born in Olney, Maryland, and raised in Montpelier, Vermont. Miller became interested in comics as a child and desired a career as an artist. Work didn't comes quickly, however.

His first comic work was inside art for The Twilight Zone for Gold Key Comics in 1978. He penciled several anthology titles for DC Comics and eventually settled into the role of a regular artist for Marvel. His first work with Marvel was for John Carter: Warlord of Mars #18. He would eventually gain recognition for his work on the Daredevil comics. His graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns changed the way people looked at the Batman character. Miller has also worked on Captain America, RoboCop, Spawn and Spider-Man.

Though initially against seeing his work brought to the screen, he altered his position after seeing Robert Rodriguez' portrayal of his graphic novels Sin City. Miller enjoyed the adaptation and is credited as a director on the film's sequels Sin City 2 and Sin City 3.
