Frank Darabont (b. January 28, 1959, Montbéliard, Doubs, France) is a French-born Academy Award-nominated American director born to Hungarian refugees. Darabont and his family moved to the United States in his infancy. Darabont is best known for his work adapting Stephen King's work for the screen and his work on such films as The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile has earned him critical acclaim. Darabont's other films include A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, The Blob, The Fly II, Frankenstein', and The Mist.
In 2007, Darabont will direct a remake of the film Farenheit 451
