Francis Lawrence is a music video director turned film director. Lawrence directed videos for musical artists such as Will Smith, Britney Spears and Aerosmith. He served as an assistant director on the scifi comedy, Marching Out of Time and made his feature film debut as director with the 2005 film Constantine starring Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz. In 2007, Lawrence directed Will Smith in the film I am Legend based on the Richard Matheson novel of the same name.

He will direct Eddie Dickens and the Awful End based on the Philip Ardagh novel trilogy Awful End. The film is slated for a Fall 2008 release. Alos on his roster is the fairy tale fantasy remake Snow and the Seven, a retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
