Francesca Hunt is a British actress. Among science fiction fans, she may be best known as Rebecca Fogg on The SCI FI Channel's 2001 series, The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne.
Additionally, for the BBC, she has starred in two popular series, Roughnecks and Strathblair, as well as in the sitcom A Prince Among Men, and several one-off dramas, including Over Here.
Between TV appearances, she also has managed to play some of Britain's most prestigious theaters. She appeared as Phyllis in Double Indemnity at Theatre Clwyd, and starred in Stephen King's Misery at the Theatre Royal in Basingstoke. She starred in The Handyman at the Chichester Festival Theatre and also has been seen in Anna Karenina, Lady Chatterly's Lover and Duet for One, among others.
Francesca Hunt was well prepared for the role of a secret agent on The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne, having studied philosophy and politics at Oxford University and spent time at the Moscow Arts Theatre School. A dancer and competitive swimmer as well as an expert swordswoman, she brought to the role of Rebecca both the athleticism and the theatrical seasoning the role demanded.
