Forever Knight (1992–1996) is a horror/crime series about a 13th-century vampire living in the modern day as a police officer.
He was brought across in 1228. He preyed on humans for their blood. Now, he wants to be mortal again, to repay society for his sins, to emerge from his world of darkness, from his endless Forever Knight. His name is Nick Knight.
The series first aired in August of 1989 as a pilot called Nick Knight, starring Rick Springfield. The pilot failed and was not picked up as a series. In May 1992, CBS remade the pilot, this time calling it Forever Knight. The pilot was picked up as a series this time and aired for one year. Forever Knight was taken off the air after two months due to a programming issue with the Late Night show moving to CBS. After furious fan letters and calls, TriStar pushed the show into syndication, and local stations picked up the broadcasts. It returned to the airwaves in November 1993.
