Plot

Following the devastating defeat of Jaffa and Earth forces, The Ori move on to Chulak and commence invasion of the planet. On board one of the vessels, Vala gives birth to a baby girl whom the prior decrees to be the Orici, the one who will lead them into battle.

Colonel Carter remains floating in space and the transporters on Odyssey are inoperable. She manages to communicate with Colonel Mitchell who escaped the Korolev and is drifting in a damaged F-302. Mitchell informs her that Daniel was on board the Korolev when it was destroyed. Mitchell manages to dock on the Odyssey but the transporters remain useless despite Kvasir's attempts to fix it. Mitchell sets about maneuvering the large ship to perform a skilled rescue of Carter. He soon realizes Daniel may have escaped the Korolev using the ring transporters

Teal'c is still on board the Lucian Alliance vessel. He is taken prisoner by Netan who assumes their devastating defeat was a ploy to weaken the alliance and proceeds to torture Teal'c. Netan demands Odyssey's surrender though the Ha'tak vessel is barely in better condition than the Odyssey and unlikely to have operational weapons.

On Earth, Bra'tac informs Landry of the defeat at the supergate and the need for a ship to check on the situation.

Vala is allowed to meet with her daughter and is stunned to find she is already three or four years old. The child heals Vala and assures her that she will help her find the true path. Vala meets with her again later and finds she has grown more and is now around eight or nine years old. She tries to convince Vala that it is the Ancient's who are evil and that the Ori ascend their followers as promised. Vala names her Adria after her stepmother.

Bra'tac arrives at the supergate with a ship. Kvasir manages to repair the transporters and rescues Teal'c just before the Lucian Alliance destroys the damaged Ha'tak

Teal'c and Bra'tac head for Chulak where the ship carrying Daniel and Vala has landed and the invasion has begun. Mitchell and Carter join them and make an attempt to ring a bomb aboard an Ori vessel during the short period when their shields weaken while firing their main weapon. The attempt is a failure. Bra'tac decides to ram the ori vessel, hoping their destruction will take out the Ori vessel. Mitchell has other ideas however, and has everyone on board the ship beamed on board the Odyssey as soon as it arrives

Daniel successfully ringed himself aboard an Ori vessel before the destruction of the Korolev and locates Vala. He adopts the costume of an Ori soldier and the two attempt to kidnap Adria. They are prevented from doing so by Tomin who shoots Vala when she tries to protect Daniel. Adria heals her mother and Daniel stuns Tomin just as a prior enters to stop their escape. Vala and Daniel are shortly beamed away by Odyssey who has locked on to his locator beacon.
