The Flames of Enlightenment are used in the SCI FI Channel's series Stargate SG-1 by Doci, the mouthpiece of The Ori, to turn loyal servants into Priors. Beneath the flames the Ori dwell, crackling in their power. If someone is deemed worthy by Doci, the Ori allow their power to wash over the candidate, giving that person minute access to their wellspring. The powers they bestow can include forcefields, revival, and a self-destruct mechanism.
