Final Fantasy is a 3-D animated film from director Hironobu Sakaguchi. The film is based on the Final Fantasy video game series. Though touted as a CGI breakthrough with photorealistic human characters, the film did not draw audiences and ultimately bombed at the box office. The film featured Ming-Na as the voice of scientist Aki Ross. In the year 2065, Ross is among scientists working to free Earth from deadly alien creatures known as phantoms. The creatures have forced surviving humans into barrier cities. One of Earth's generals wishes to end the conflict once and for all by using a new weapon called the Zeus cannon. The film also featured the voices of Alec Baldwin as Gray Edwards and Ving Rhames as Ryan Whitaker .

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
