(Redirected from Fairy tales)
For other uses see: Fairy tale (disambiguation)

A fairy tale or fairy story is a folktale featuring fairies or other supernatural beings such as goblins, elves, or giants. More broadly, a fairy tale can be any story set in Faerie or Elfland or a similar enchanted realm.

Fairy Tales and Fantasy

Traditional fairy tales have provided fertile sources for fantasy fiction, including Jane Yolen's Briar Rose (based on Sleeping Beauty) and Robin McKinley's Beauty (based on Beauty and the Beast).

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
