Evil Dead II is a 1987 horror movie written and directed by Sam Raimi, and starring Bruce Campbell. The film is sequel to the 1983 film The Evil Dead. Campbell plays the sole survivor, Ash Williams, of the events of the previous film. Ash and girlfriend Linda (Denise Bixler) visit a secluded cabin where they listen to a taped recitation of sections of the Book of the Dead. The spells in the recitation raise up and evil force which possesses Linda and attempts to do the same to Ash.
