Eternity is a fictional comic book cosmic entity owned by Marvel Comics.

He was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in Strange Tales #138 (November, 1965). He is a kind of supporting character in Doctor Strange and other Marvel Comics.

Though he appears as a nebulous humanoid configuration, he can only be perceived by sorcerers and beings of cosmic perception. He is the metaphysical sum total of all living things in the universe, the flipside of the entity Death. He seems to exist physically, but is actually a finite boundary of space containing all cosmic forms such as stars, planets, and galaxies. He warps space in such a way as to be perceived by others.

Eternity usually appears when there is a great threat to all life in the universe. Eternity has spawned several lesser entities, such as Empathy, Eulogy, Expediency, Entropy, Epiphany, Enmity and Eon.
