Esai Morales (b. October 1, 1962, Brooklyn, New York) is an American actor best remembered for his roles on the crime drama NYPD Blue and the post-apocalyptic series Jericho. Morales' first genre appearance was a guest role on The Twilight Zone. He followed up with occasional genre appearances in Freejack, Tales from the Crypt, Deadlocked: Escape from Zone 14, and The Outer Limits before joining the cast of NYPD Blue. In 2008, Morales was cast as Joseph Adama on the Battlestar Galactica spinoff prequel, Caprica.
