Entropic cascade failure

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

On the series Stargate SG-1, entropic cascade failure is a result of two identical individuals defying the laws of physics by attempting to coexist in the same reality. The situation was first identified in the episode "Point of View when alternate versions of Samantha Carter and Charles Kawalsky crossed over into SG-1's reality. The alternate, Dr. Carter began experiencing violent, seemingly painful seizures due to Capt. Carter's presence. Because of this situation, she was forced to return to her own reality where the Goa'uld had attacked Earth. With SG-1's help, she was able to enlist the aid of the Asgard to oust the invaders.
