England is the largest country in the United Kingdom and is located in the southern region of the island of Great Britain. England has had enormous influence on world culture and science fiction. Classic science fiction series such as Doctor Who, Red Dwarf and Blake's 7 were filmed in England as were the Harry Potter films and The Princess Bride. England is also the home of actors Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart and authors J.K. Rowling and Tanith Lee.
