Ender's Game is a 1985 novel by Orson Scott Card. The story was first published in a 1977 of Analog Science Fiction and Fact as a novelette. Card expanded on the novel and it was republished in 1985 by Tor. It was again updated in 1991 and is followed by several novels featuring main character, Ender Wiggins. In 2008, a film based on the novel series went into production to be released and distributed by Warner Brothers.

Ender's Game deals with the aftermath of an invasion of Earth by alien insectoid creatures, buggers. The world's most gifted children, among which is Ender Wiggins, are sent to a space-based military academy to be Earth's future battle commanders in the expected third invasion by the buggers.
