Elle Bishop is a fictional character on the series Heroes portrayed by Kristen Bell. Elle is an employee of The Company, and has the ability transmit electricity through her hands, from tiny sparks to deadly voltage. Elle is the daughter of Bob Bishop and was raised within the Company. Her unusual childhood likely contributed to her sociopathic tendencies and other evidence of mental instability.
History
Elle was first seen in Cork, Ireland looking for Peter Petrelli. She questioned Ricky McKenna at the Wandering Rocks Pub and after discovering he was lying, electrocuted him to death.
Four months prior, she had been tasked with keeping an eye on Peter while he stayed in a holding cell at the company's Hartsdale, New York facility. She delivered his medication that suppressed his abilities and appeared to have developed a crush on him and enjoyed causing him small amounts of pain. She admitted to him that she was diagnosed as a sociopath and recounted some events from her life. At six, she accidentally set her grandmother's home on fire and two years later caused a blackout in Toledo, Ohio. She lived in the company's holding facility for most of her life.
When Peter escaped with Adam Monroe, Elle was sent to capture them. She used lethal force to attempt to subdue him. Her next assignment was capturing Claire Bennet and taking out her father' Noah. She was kidnapped by Bennet who informed her that her father allowed the Company to test high doses of electricity on her and it is likely The Haitian wiped her memories of the events. Elle was uncertain whether to believe him and continued to perform her assignments.
Characteristics
Elle's mental instability is apparent in her every action. She enjoys causing other's pain and seems to get pleasure from using her powers. She has no qualms over committing murder and never ponders the morality of her actions. She is manipulative and flirtatious and deadly when angered.
Powers
Elle is able to transmit and manipulate electricity, forming and shaping it to her will and controlling its power. Her power can be deadly or result in unconsciousness or pain to her victims. She can also melt metal. She is not immune to her own power however. When Noah Bennet kidnapped her, he soaked her in water which caused her great pain when she attempted to use her ability.
