Eliza Patricia Dushku (December 30, 1980) is an American actress born in Watertown, Massachusetts to Phillip R. Dushku and Judy Rasmussen. She is best known to genre fans for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel as Faith Lehane and the short lived series Tru Calling in which she played Tru Davies.
Dushku was raised Mormon and is the youngest of her parents' four children. Her parents divorced when she was still a baby. Her first acting opportunity came at age 10 when a five month search for an actress to play opposite Juliette Lewis in That Night ended with her being chosen for the role. In her next role, she appeared with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Deniro in This Boy's Life. She also appeared in True Lies with Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1994 and Bye Bye Love in 1995.
In 1998 She began appearing on the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Faith Lehane, a slayer with a wild streak. Her planned five episode run was extended and she appeared in the rest of season three and made guest appearances in seasons four and seven. She also played the character in several episodes of the spinoff series Angel.
In 2000, Dushku starred with Kirsten Dunst in the cheerleader comedy Bring it On. Other film roles include Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, City by the Sea, The Last Supper, Wrong Turn, Nobel Son, and Open Graves. In 2005, she starred in Dog Sees God, an off-Broadway play.
In 2008, Joss Whedon chose Dushku to star in his series Dollhouse. In the series she'll portray, lead character Echo.
