(Redirected from Egyptian)

Egypt is a North African country bordering the Sahara desert. Neighboring countries include Libya, Sudan, Israel and Gaza Strip. Egypt is home to the Nile River, one of the planet's longest and is best known for having been home to one of the greatest ancient civilizations. For centuries the Pyramids at Giza and the Great Sphinx of Giza have fascinated mankind and sparked dozens of theories about how and why they were built. They are among the greatest wonders in the world.

Egypt's ancient history and dramatic sights have made it the focus of many documentaries and films and inspired many works of fiction.

Paranormal

The most common reference to Egypt is to suggest that advanced technologies were involved in the construction of some of the monuments. This technology is usually ascribed to either ancient astronauts or a lost civilization.

A second popular story is that of the mummy's curse, suggesting that supernatural forces were in play after a tomb (particularly King Tut's) was defiled.

Egypt also has its own cryptid, a jackal-like canine called a Salawa.
