Eartha Kitt (January 17, 1927 South Carolina - ) is an American singer, actor, and voice artist.

Her distinctive vocal delivery, a cross between a purr and a growl, served her well in her potrayal of Catwoman, Batman's nemesis, on the Adam West TV series.

She has continued to work in the genre. In recent years, she has started doing voice work, notably as Yzma in The Emperor's New Groove and the follow-ups to that Disney movie.
