Dustin Hoffman (August 8, 1937 Los Angeles, California - ) is an American actor.
Although Sci Fi may not be the first thing that comes to mind when most people think of this Oscar winning actor (that might be The Graduate or Midnight Cowboy), Hoffman has done some genre work.
He played Captain Hook in Steven Spielberg's Hook. He appeared in Sphere, based on the Michael Crichton novel. The title character in Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is his. He's even done some voice work, including 2008's Kung Fu Panda.
