Dream Girl is a fictional comic book character who is owned by DC Comics and is part of the 31st century superhero team The Legion of Super-Heroes.

Nura Nal is the daughter of the former High Seer of the planet Naltor. On Naltor most of its citizens are born with precognitive abilities to one degree or amother. Nura shows signs of being the the most gifted precog the planet has yet produced. She can go into a waking trance and see portions of the future up to a year in advance. Her predictions are proving more frequent and accurate than most Naltorians could expect, and for that, and her scientific achievements at such a young age, as well as her maturing beauty, she is honored.

Nura also has a younger sister named Mysa. Mysa, on the other hand, shows very little precognitive ability, and is largely ignored in favor of her popular and celebrated sister. Finally, Mysa leaves Naltor to find her own destiny. Nura worries about her. She tries to use her power to find out anything about where her sister was and what she was up to, but receives only visions of the Legion of Super-Heroes dead and dying.

Hoping that she could prevent a tragedy, and to figure out what connection the Legion had with her sister, Nura leaves Naltor for Earth, giving up her chance to be High Seer, a position the Matriarchs of the planet were grooming her for. She joins the Legion of Super-heroes as Dream Girl.

But Dream Girl has joined the Legion under false pretenses. As a member, she schemes to get the Legionnaires she saw in her vision expelled from the Legion. She sets them up to break the laws of the Legion Constitution, causing some to be expelled on technicalities. She causes Lightning Lass to lose her super-power so that she would have to resign. She sees all this as the only way to save their lives.

Nura's vision turns out to be accurate, but misinterpreted. The dead Legionnaires turn out to be Legion android duplicates. Nura explains her actions, and the expelled Legionnaires rejoin. Lightning Lass finds that she can now temporarily negate gravity, and rejoins the Legion as Light Lass.

Feeling disheartened by her mistake, Nura is humbled, and leaves the Legion to work on her abilities. During this time, she joins the Legion of Substitute Heroes, a group of teenagers that were rejected or not ready for actual membership, but hope to become members of the Legion someday.

She begins a romantic relationship with Legionnaire Star Boy. When Star Boy is expelled from the Legion for breaking the code against killing, he joins the Substitute Heroes as well, and the two became closer than ever. Eventually, the two of them have a chance to aid the Legion while masking their true identities. When their identities are revealed, the Legion, feeling they had proven themselves, invites them to rejoin, and Dream Girl has been a member ever since.

She eventually locates her sister Mysa, who had gone to Zerox, the Sorcerors' World, to study magic, and had fallen victim of an evil spell by the Legion foe Mordru. Nura and the Legion rescue Mysa and break the spell. Some time later, Mysa becomes a Legionnaire, using the code name White Witch.

Nura Nal has also studied bio-technology, and she used this knowledge to help change Lightning Lass' powers from emitting electricity to being able to temporarily negate gravity.

Nura also has also completed a rigorous combat training program, and become a very formidable at hand to hand combat. She also learns some magic from her sister.
