Dragon*Con is America's largest annual convention for fans of science fiction, fantasy and horror, comics and art, games and computers, animation, science, music, television and movies. Some of its special events are a charity auction, contests, a film festival, and a costume parade in its home city of Atlanta, Georgia.

Dragon*Con's home base is in two mega-hotel's in central Atlanta. In 2007, as with every Dragon*Con, the con is scheduled to happen over Labor Day weekend (August 31 through September 3). A small sampling of the guests for 2006: Kevin J. Anderson, Robert Asprin, Bill Fawcett, Anne McCaffrey, Todd McCaffrey, Jody Lynn Nye, Mike Resnick, John D. Ringo, Selina Rosen, Harry Turtledove, David Weber, Margaret Weis, Janny Wurts' Alexis Cruz, Lexa Doig, Christopher Judge, Katee Sackhoff, and Michael Shanks.
