Dorothy Allison (psychic)

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Dorothy Allison was a psychic who reportedly used her abilities to help police locate missing people. She has also caused wasted man-hours that could have been better spent through more legitimate investigative practices, by having law enforcement and other officials searching in the wrong place based on her tips.

In August 2006, she again received media attention for a sketch she had made in 1998 on the Leeza show. The sketch was made in connection with the JonBenet Ramsay case, and reporters commented on the similarity between the sketch and John Mark Karr, who claimed to have been present when JonBenet died. In fact, the sketch bears little resemblance to John Mark Karr, who is now being doubted as to the veracity of his "confession", makng Ms. Allison's prediction moot.
