Doronda is a fictional planet in the Stargate universe located in the Pegasus Galaxy. The planet was once home to an Ancient experiment in Zero Point Energy production known as Project Arcturus. The project was intended to protect the planet against the Wraith. Unfortunately, the technology failed. While it produced vast amounts of energy, the output and resulting radiation could not be controlled. Caught in a desperate situation before the weapon was complete, the Dorondans were forced to activate it when a Wraith fleet attacked the planet. The fleet was destroyed but the Ancients were unable to shut the weapon down before it killed everyone in the vicinity. The weapon was eventually shut down. However, as the planet is uninhabited and utterly destroyed, it seems the Wraith returned to destroy the Dorondan civilization.
