Summary

Jake Gyllenhaal plays a troubled teen, Donnie Darko, who is haunted by visions of a 6-foot tall scary bunny rabbit only he can see. He narrowly escapes death when he follows the bunny outside his home and moments after a jet engine crashes into his bedroom. According to the bunny, the world will end in 28 days. He is guided to commit a series of criminal acts. The film ultimately leaves it to the viewer to decide if Donnie's bunny is a time traveler or just a symptom of his schizophrenia.
