Donnelly Rhodes (b. December 4, 1937, Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian actor best known to genre fans for his role on Battlestar Galactica as Doctor Cottle. Some may also remember him for his regular roles on Soap and Danger Bay. Rhodes tried a few careers before settling on acting. He trained as a warden for the National Park Service and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force as a mechanic. He studied acting at the Manitoba Theatre Centre and graduated from Canada's National Theatre School.
He made his professional debut on stage in the role of Stanley Kowalski in a Streetcar Named Desire. His early television appearances include guest appearances on Maverick, Wagon Train, The Virginian, Laredo and Run fo Your Life. He has had recurring a role on Mission: Impossible, and made his genre film debut in the 1969 film Change of Mind. Other notable appearances include The Neptune Factor, The Starlost, Wonder Woman, a regular role on Soap as Dutch Leitner, Hill Street Blues, The Hitchhiker, Street Legal, Sliders, The X-Files, Two, The Outer Limits, The Sentinel, Viper, The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, Millennium, Roswell: The Aliens Attack, The Dead Zone, Century City, Life As We Know It, Da Vinci's Inquest, and Three Moons Over Milford.
In 2007, Rhodes stars in Beyond Loch Ness with Sci Fi regulars Brian Krause, Paul McGillion, Niall Matter and Don S. Davis.
