Donna Noble is a character who appeared in the 2006 Doctor Who Christmas special ("The Runaway Bride") and is scheduled to appear regularly in the program's 2008 season.

Played by popular British comedienne Catherine Tate, Donna suddenly appeared in the TARDIS in the last few seconds of the 2006 episode "Doomsday". This led into "The Runaway Bride," which revealed that Donna had been mysteriously yanked away from her own wedding only to appear onboard this strange ship.

Initially quite flustered, she accused the "Martian" onboard first of being part of a practical joke and then of simply kidnapping her. Eventually, however, she gained a begrudging appreciation of The Doctor's mostly benevolent intentions, despite also gaining an understanding of just how dangerous the interfering time traveler could actually be.
