Don Houghton

Don Houghton (1933-1991) French-born British screenwriter, the son of novelist George W. Houghton. He began his career writing for television before scripting the final three films in Hammer’s "Dracula" series (Dracula A.D. 1972 (1972), The Satanic Rites of Dracula (aka Count Dracula and His Vampire Brides, 1973) and The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (1974)) and becoming the story editor for TV’s Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense (1984-85). He also scripted the dialogue for two Hammer records, Dracula and The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires.
