Don Ameche (b. Dominic Felix Amici' May 31, 1908 — December 6, 1993) is an American Academy Award-winning actor born in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Ameche won an Oscar for his supporting role in the film Cocoon. Ameche also appeared in the film's sequel Cocoon: The Return. Other notable film appearances include the 1943 film Heaven Can Wait, The Greatest Show on Earth, and his final film performance before his death in Corinna, Corinna. Ameche died in 1993 in Scottsdale, Arizona, of prostate cancer.
