Diver Dan is an American TV series.

Set under the sea, viewers joined deep-sea diver Dan as he interacted with a world of fish-puppets {marionettes, to be precise) and their nurturing mermaid leader, Miss Minerva. The mermaid would talk to and advise the fish, but always disappear when Diver Dan was near. Finley the fish and Doc Stergeon were the good guys, the evil Baron Barracuda and the criminal looking Tiger Fish were the bad guys. The marionnettes were actually pretty funny, wearing glasses, smoking cigarettes, and the Baron even wore a monocle.

With clever musical numbers and goofy humor, this series has some fandom into the 2000s.

A DVD set was released by Alpha Home Entertainment in 2006.

"He protects and he saves his friends under the waves..
That's where you'll find Diver Dan."
