Death Gliders are short-range attack vessels usually piloted by two Jaffa. They were first seen in the Stargate movie. The weapons resemble large staff weapons, and are likely the ship-based equivalent of the tripod staff weapons seen in a variety of episodes. Their wings fold down underneath to increase the number you can fit in a hanger bay, but also allows for the cockpit to lower and allow the pilots to enter the vessel.

Death Gliders are based out of a goa'uld mother ship, in bays which are generally shown with 6-10 gliders; but they are believed to be thousands of Death Gliders on a mother ship.

The Death Gliders were reverse engineered and produced the X301 and X302 fighters used to defend Antartica, and fly from the Prometheus, Daedalus and other Earth space-ships.
