Dean Marshall (b. 1969, Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian actor who has made appearances on several genre series. Marshall may be remembered by Stargate fans for his role on the series Stargate Atlantis as contentious security officer, Sgt. Bates. Marshall made his television debut on the series Urban Angel. His genre roles include the series Viper, Night Man, Poltergeist: The Legacy, First Wave, Strange Frequency, The Outer Limits, The Dead Zone, Smallville, and Masters of Science Fiction. Marshall has also had a recurring role on the Canadian series Da Vinci's Inquest and Da Vinci's City Hall.
