Dead at 21 was a short-lived MTV sci-fi series. The series aired eleven 30-minute episodes. The series centered on Ed Bellamy (Jack Noseworthy), a 20-year-old who discovers that, as a child, he was part of a medical experiment. Microchips implanted in his brain make him a genius but will lead to his death within the next year, by his twenty-first birthday. With the help of Maria Cavalos (Lisa Dean Ryan), he must find a way to save his life. Making his task more difficult is the fact that the research center responsible for his transformation has framed him for murder and has sent Agent Winston (Whip Hubley) after him.
