David Naughton (b. February 13, 1951, Hartford, Connecticut) is an American actor best known for his role in the 1981 horror-comedy An American Werewolf in London. Naughton made his professional debut at the New York Shakespeare Festival in a production of Hamlet after studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. He also appeared in musical commercials for Dr. pepper and in 1979 starred in the disco adventure TV series Makin It for which he performed the popular theme song. Naughton has since guest starred on several TV series and appeared in a variety of film roles.
