David Manners

David Manners (Rauff de Ryther Duan Acklom) (April 30, 1901- December 23, 1999) Canadian-born actor who claimed to be descended from William the Conqueror. During the 1930s he made a rather bland, if stalwart romantic leading man in several Universal horror classics such as Dracula (1931), The Mummy (1932), The Black Cat (1934) and The Mystery of Edwin Drood (1935), before retiring from films in 1936 to become a novelist.
