Darth Vader, is a character in the Star`Wars series of movies, books, comics, and more, known collectively as the "Star Wars Universe". He was introduced in the first Star Wars movie, is one of the great movie villains of all time.

A commanding presence, dressed in black with a cape and a face-concealing helmet, he is our heroes' greatest threat. He is trained in the Jedi arts, and not above using that power to make those who disagree with him suffer. He is physically superior, a superb fighter, and exceptionally skilled pilot.

He is subservient to the Emperor, and is part of his efforts to ruthlessly wipe out the rebellion.

His suit includes a ventilator, and the sound of his breathing is part of the character. He was embodied by David Prowse, and voiced by James Earl Jones.
