DAW (or DAW Books) is an exclusively Sci Fi publishing house, founded by author and editor Donald A. Wollheim (the company name is his initials, which is why it is all in capitals) and his wife, Elsie B. Wollheim in 1971.

The company has released well over one thousand titles, including award-winning books by well-known authors. Its first release was Spell of the Witch World by Andre Norton.
