Cyborg (Cybernetic Organism) is an individual whose physiology has been augmented with mechanical or electronic devices. Cybernetic systems fuse organic and technological parts and though the term is most often attached to subjects in scifi reaities, such as the Borg of Star Trek, many individuals, currently living who depend on implanted technologies such as pacemakers, artificial joints, and drug delivery systems, can be considered cyborgs.
