The Curse of the Cat People is the 1944 sequel to 1942's Cat People. The film isn't directly related to Cat People though Simone Simon, and Kent Smith, reprise their roles from the first film. The film focuses on Amy Reed (Ann Carter), daughter of Irena Reed and Ollie Reed. Imaginative and friendless Amy befriends aging actress Julia Farren, who has a difficult and distant relationship with her own daughter, Barbara.
