Crop circle

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

(Redirected from Crop Circles)

A Crop Circle is the term for geometric shapes that most commonly appear in fields of wheat, mostly in England. The most common theory is that the circles are messages from aliens. Some people have admitted to creating crop circles just for fun (hoaxes).

People who investigate crop circles may be referred to as cereologists. An alternative term for a crop circle is an agriglyph.

History

Crop circles started getting popular in England during the 1970s; however, the phenomenon has a history of existing before the 1970s. One of the earliest reports is known as the Mowing Devil, which happened in the 1800s. There were other reports in the 1880s, also.

Theories

Most of the crop circles created have been accounted for, but there are still some that have not. The main theory is that humans are the creators of all the crop circles. There are other theories, such as supersonic winds or UFO landings.
