Comic book

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

A comic book is a bound publication of a comics story. They take various forms including, among other genres, American superhero comics, juvenile comics and manga.

Traditional American comics

In the United States, the classic comic book published by such large-scale producers as DC Comics and Marvel Comics takes the form of a monthly periodical serialized fiction magazine. Each issue usually is part of a larger story arc. Sometimes these story arcs are published in the form of a graphic novel where the entire story line is bound in one single omnibus.

Manga

Manga comic books, despite their superficial resemblance, are quite different from traditional comics. With an origin in Japan, manga are usually written for adult audiences.
