Plot

Just three days after the colonial escape from New Caprica, the leaders of the insurgency form a tribunal to try, judge and execute those they believe to be guilty of treason. They kidnap and take prisoner Jammer. He is quickly found guilty for his involvement with the New Caprica Police. He pleas for his life on the basis of having saved Cally Tyrol but he is nevertheless ejected from Galactica's launch tube. Jammer is just one several individuals who have mysteriously disappeared, tried and executed without the knowledge or consent of Admiral Adama and Laura Roslin

Without military support for his presidency, Zarek cedes the presidency to Roslin who offers him the vice presidency. Unknown to her the tribunal has been granted their power by Zarek. Anders, a member of the tribunal, quits after being urged to convict Felix Gaeta for working with Gaius Baltar. They turn to his wife, Starbuck as a replacement and she agrees. She votes in favor of convicting and executing Gaeta and vindictively urges him to beg for his life and offer proof that his story about being an informant for the insurgency, and leaving information in a dog bowl was true.

Tyrol recognizes the story and knows no one else could have known about the signal but the informant and he is released. The tribunal is stunned by the revelation and the fact their certainty about their judgment has been undermined.

On the Cylon base star, Gaius awakens and finds his fate lies in the hands of the Cylons who must vote whether to kill him or keep him alive. The jury is deadlocked and it is only the Six models who have not yet come to a consensus.

Roslin is inaugurated president of the colonies again. After learning of Zarek's tribunal she decides to end it before it destroys the unity of the fleet. She decrees amnesty for all the alleged collaborators and announces the formation of a commission on truth and reconciliation to record the events of the occupation.
