Colin Strause (b. November 8, 1976 in Waukegan, Illinois) is an American visual effects artist and director. Strause made his directorial debut in music videos and his feature film directorial debut with the 2007 film, Aliens vs. Predator. Strause started out as a 3D effects artist working with Pixel Envy. He moved on to Hydraulx and in 2004, became the visual effects supervisor of The Day After Tomorrow.
