Cocoon: The Return is the sequel to the 1985 film Cocoon. Daniel Petrie takes over from Ron Howard as director and star Don Ameche, who won Academy Award for his performance in Cocoon, returns along with Wilford Brimley, Hume Cronyn, Jessica Tandy, Maureen Stapleton and Steve Guttenberg.

Plot

The retirees return to Earth from Antarea to visit the friends and families they left behind. The Antareans have come to collect the cocoons they left behind in the ocean as they may be at risk from an earthquake.
