Claire Rankin (b. January 23, 1974 is a Canadian actress from Prince Edward Island, Canada. Rankin may be best known by genre fans for her appearances on Stargate Atlantis as psychologist Dr. Kate Heightmeyer. Ranking studied music and dance and has performed on stage in the Canadian production of Les Miserables. She worked with the Stratford Festival Young Company and the Stratford Shakespearean Festival. She also performed the ballet role of Louise in Carousel.
Rankin made her film debut in Death Wish V: The Face of Death. Other notable roles include guest appearances on Forever Knight, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Sleepwalkers, Star Trek: Voyager, The Outer Limits, Relic Hunter, and Charmed.
