On the series Battlestar Galactica, The City of the Gods was a city on Kobol, the home of mankind.

It was here, according to scripture, that a Utopian civilization flourished and lived in unity with the gods.The centre of government on Kobol was based in the 'Opera house' in this city. This opera house was the center of human civilization before the great exodus from Kobol many millennia ago.

The 'City of the Gods' can be seen in series 1 episode 'Kobol's last Gleaming parts 1 and 2'

In series 1 it is revealed that the city now lies in ruins on Kobol after many thousands of years of neglect.All that survives are ruins of the opera house and remnants of other structures no longer standing.
