Cirque du Freak is a 2008 movie directed by Paul Weitz and based on the Cirque du Freak novel series by Darren Shan. Salma Hayek appears in the film as a bearded lady alongside a large cast including Josh Hutcherson and Ken Watanabe. Chris J. Kelly plays a young boy who attends a Freak Show with a friend, Steve (Josh Hutcherson). The two boys believe the "Cirque du Freak" is just a good show until they come across a real vampire, Mr. Crepsley. When Mr. Crepsley offers something to Darren that Steve desperately wants for himself, it causes jealousy and division between the two friends and they choose opposing destinies for themselves.
